Summary

This is a key operational role with the successful applicant working alongside and under the supervision of the Cutting Room Manager.
Comprehensive instruction will be given in the cutting of various garments, components and the use of various cutting equipment.
A benefit would be the understanding of card patterns, and the effective use of card patterns in accurately marking and cutting garment materials and associated components required for production. To support the overall effort to drive business and production efficiencies.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake manual garment cutting duties under the supervision of an experienced Supervisor. Experience would be preferred, however full training and support will be given to the candidate.

Responsibilities include:
Laying up of fabrics and materials
Laying & marking around card patterns
Cutting out the designs using air powered round knife and electric straight knife
Counting and sorting cut parts by sizes and designs
Boxing cut materials ready for the sewing room
The preparation and cutting of hook & loop materials and other components
The use of automated cutting machines and hydraulic press machines
The use of heat press to apply logos and badges to garments
Stock handling and stock monitoring
Any other duties commensurate with their role as required

The company operates a four day working week.
Full time hours 07.00 - 16.45 Mon - Thursday. Closed weekends and Bank Holidays.
