Summary

Join our friendly team as a Senior Administrative Assistant at Fareham Community Link, a day service for adults with learning disabilities. As an integral part of our small, supportive team, you’ll carry out a range of vital administrative and financial tasks that help ensure the smooth running of the service.

What you’ll do:   
• Monitor and respond to emails and phone calls, acting as the first point of contact for visitors and staff where appropriate.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with staff and service users.
• Resolve queries and escalate complex issues where required.
• Check and monitor data to maintain accurate records, including working with spreadsheets, financial records, and petty cash claims.
• Complete monthly financial reconciliations and support budgetary processes.

What we’re looking for:   

• Previous administrative experience, with confidence handling financial data and spreadsheets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Good IT skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel, and a willingness to learn new systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Patience, compassion, and empathy in all interactions – treating service users with dignity and respect.
