We have 4Varian Truebeamlinear accelerators, two of which have Vision RT Surface Guided Radiotherapy.

Our other equipment includes Philips Big Bore CT with full Ambient Lighting Experience, Superficial Xray Therapy; Nucletron HDR Brachytherapy; and Eclipse external beam planning system. We operate all equipment on the Varian ARIA platform. We are a reference site for Vision RT and Philips.

As a progressive teaching centre for Student Radiotherapists the trust has established links with Sheffield Hallam University where our educational facilities include a seminar room. The Trust actively encourages CPD and role extension with support available to pursue academic courses to further develop and enhance your skills.

To work as a Therapeutic Radiographer within the radiotherapy team to provide an efficient high-quality service of patient care and treatment, across all areas of the Radiotherapy Department; both during normal and extended working hours, and within an emergency / on-call commitment. The Therapeutic radiographers cover all aspects of departmental workload & patient care: including Radiotherapy & Brachytherapy treatment, CT, treatment planning and clinics. The postholder will work within the team to deliver & record complex and highly accurate treatment & planning procedures for each patient, taking individual responsibility for one’s actions within the whole team. A contribution to shift working, weekend working and Bank Holiday cover, including Category 1 commitment is required in this post, as dictated by service need including the treatment of patients within an emergency service commitment.

To ensure the provision of an efficient high quality service of patient care and treatment, from all areas within the Radiotherapy Treatment Suite; both during normal and extended working hours and within an emergency service commitment.
