Summary

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is seeking to recruit an experienced Workshop Operative, working at our Wade Road Depot as part of a two person team.

You will be responsible for the inspection and maintenance of a range of commercial fleet and plant, predominantly but not limited to, light commercial vehicles, road registered ride on lawn mowers and hand tools, such as strimmer’s, hedge cutters and chainsaws.

The post holder must be experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of vehicle maintenance and associated legislation. Completion of accurate detailed service documents and work logs is also a vital requirement for this role.
