We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Caretaker, on a 2.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £15.86 - £21.13 per hour
Summary:
The Caretaker will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of housing estates. This includes cleaning duties, minor repairs, estate inspections, and building strong relationships with tenants to provide a responsive, customer-focused service. The role requires flexibility, working alone or in teams, and responding promptly to emergencies while upholding the Councils commitment to high standards, equality, and safeguarding.
Responsibilities:
Carry out cleaning and caretaking duties across estates, ensuring communal areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Ensure estate cleaning frequencies are met and liaise with contractors for waste, gas, and electrical services.
Promote safeguarding of children, young people, and vulnerable adults by reporting concerns.
Comply with all relevant legislation, including GDPR, Health & Safety, and Equal Opportunities.
Build positive relationships with residents, offering advice and assistance, particularly to vulnerable tenants.
Essentials:
Experience of cleaning or caretaking duties
Physical ability to lift/move heavy equipment, bins, and household waste.

You should have right to work in U.K
