Summary
We are seeking a forward-thinking IT Manager to lead our digital strategy and transformation, align IT strategies with business
objectives, and to foster a positive and proactive culture within the IT team of continuous learning and innovation. This is a
senior and strategically important role to the business going forward, and is pivotal in driving technological advancements that
enhance operational efficiency and support the organisation's growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Align IT strategy with business objectives.
Plan and implement new systems and infrastructure upgrades.
Manage IT budgets and cost optimization.
Systems & Infrastructure Management
Oversee hardware, software, networks, and servers.
Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of IT systems.
Implement cybersecurity measures and compliance with regulations.
Team & Vendor Management
Lead and mentor IT staff (administrators, support technicians, developers).
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement of IT resources.
Coordinate with other departments to address technology needs.
Security & Risk Management
Establish data protection, backup, and disaster recovery protocols.
Monitor threats, vulnerabilities, and enforce security policies.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, GDPR, HIPAA).
Support & Troubleshooting
Manage IT support/helpdesk operations.
Oversee troubleshooting of hardware/software issues.
Train staff on new systems and security awareness.
Required Skills
Strong technical knowledge (networks, servers, cloud, databases, cybersecurity).
Project management and leadership abilities.
Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Vendor and budget management.
Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred for larger organizations).
Certifications often valued: ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CompTIA, AWS/Azure certifications.
Experience in IT operations, systems administration, or IT leadership roles.
