Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lewisham to assist with the appointment of a Housing Assistant on a 3- Months contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £17.23- £21.94 per hour

Summary:

The Housing Assistant will support the Housing & Communities team by assisting Housing Officers and Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Officers with a wide range of functions. The postholder will be the first point of contact for residents, providing advice, guidance, and assistance on rehousing enquiries and tenancy-related matters. 

Responsibilities:

Provide a professional, knowledgeable, and customer-focused service when responding to resident enquiries, resolving them at the first point of contact wherever possible.
Maintain accurate records, undertake administrative tasks, and update internal systems in line with council procedures.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Council policies, codes of conduct, and statutory requirements.
Actively participate in appraisal, performance management, and training opportunities to enhance service delivery.
Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as required.
Essentials:

Experience of dealing with customers in a front-facing environment
Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion and their application in a housing and community services setting
Experience of maintaining accurate records and undertaking administrative tasks
