Summary

Sales Engineer - UK Floor Screeding ETS Products | Loughborough, Leicestershire | Full-time, based at LE11 5XR, with work split between the office, on the road, and from home | Working hours are 08:30 to 17:00, with flexibility available | £40,000 - £85,000 with OTE subject to experience

Our client, specialising in structural and mechanical solutions for large infrastructure and based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, is expanding their activities into the UK commercial floor screeding sector and has created a vacancy for a full-time Sales Engineer with experience in this sector who understands the quality and benefits of the Silicate flooring market. The successful candidate should be proficient in understanding client needs, translating those needs into technical solutions, and demonstrating the value of those solutions to secure sales, with a preferred blend of technical expertise, sales, and communication skills.

They have a new supply opportunity within the flooring sector, marketing ETS products—newly approved and tested Silicate systems that provide long-term reliability and excellent environmental credentials, proven on Eco-Carbon Neutral projects.

Are you the right person for the job?

• NVQ2 or equivalent qualification in floor screeding preferred
• 5+ years of experience with screeding products preferred
• Experience in sales and business development is beneficial
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel as required

What will your role look like?

Technical Expertise

• Understand commercial flooring design principles, screed systems, applications, and installation procedures
• Conduct site surveys, assess suitability, and recommend tailored solutions
• Keep current with industry standards, regulations, and latest technologies

Sales & Communication

• Identify and develop new sales opportunities
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
• Present technical proposals, specifications, and reports, including installation timelines
• Negotiate contracts and close sales deals
• Provide technical support during project implementation and after-sales
• Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, attend trade shows, and promote ETS products

Project Management

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of sales strategies
• Manage projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
• Assist in tender preparation, bids, and pre-qualification questionnaires
