PAY AWARD PENDING.

This is a fixed term post until 31st March 2026.

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our Corporate Admin Support Team (CAS) on a temporary basis to cover the original post holder’s secondment.

Although the post will sit under Corporate Admin Support services, the post holder will provide administrative support to employability services within Working4U. Working4U is a service which supports West Dunbartonshire residents seeking employment opportunities, assistance with benefits and debt issues, help to access learning, gain qualifications and improve digital literacy.

The successful candidate will provide high quality admin support to a range of council functions and contribute towards the development and delivery of a comprehensive, customer focused and effective range of council wide business support.

The post holder will manage Modern Apprentices working towards their SVQ. You will ensure all information systems are fully maintained and up to date in line with internal procedures, external funder compliance procedures and for reporting purposes. The post holder with liaise with internal and external agencies to provide accurate and to up to date information and will be responsible for preparing and analysing information. This post is part funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and No One Left Behind Employability Support funding until 31st March 2026.

Essential requirements for the post include:
• Knowledge and understanding of clerical processes and procedures
• Understanding of a customer focused service
• Excellent IT skills, ability to use MS Word, Excel and Data base systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate numeracy and accuracy skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Being a team player
