Summary

Deputy Home Manager – Residential Care Home (Elderly Care)
Salary: £35,000 per year
40 Hours per week, Monday-Friday

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Care Manager to support the running of a well-established residential care home for older adults. This is a rewarding opportunity to take on a leadership role, ensuring residents receive safe, person-centred, and high-quality care.

As Deputy Care Manager, you will work closely with the Care Home Manager to oversee daily operations, support staff development, and uphold the highest standards in line with CQC regulations and best practice in elderly care.

What we’re looking for

  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care or above
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Home Manager within a residential or nursing care home.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, care planning, and health & safety compliance.
  • A compassionate and professional approach to elderly care, ideally with dementia care experience.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and external professionals.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Support the Care Home Manager in the smooth running of the home.
  • Provide leadership to care staff, ensuring the highest standards of elderly care.
  • Develop, review, and monitor individual care plans.
  • Carry out resident assessments and contribute to care reviews.
  • Mentor and train care staff to deliver person-centred support.
  • Manage staff rotas, record-keeping, and administrative duties.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations.
  • Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
