We are currently working with a leading contractor specialising in social housing works who are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual to oversee planned maintenance, retrofit, and decarbonisation projects across a portfolio of occupied social housing properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day site operations across multiple properties, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

  • Oversee the delivery of planned works programmes, including external and internal refurbishments, fabric upgrades, and energy efficiency improvements.

  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring high standards of workmanship and compliance with project specifications.

  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures on site.

  • Liaise effectively with residents, client representatives, and internal teams to minimise disruption and maintain excellent customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and H&S documentation.

  • Support the successful delivery of retrofit and decarbonisation projects in line with PAS 2035 standards and funding requirements (e.g., SHDF).

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering planned maintenance and retrofit works in the social housing sector.

  • Strong knowledge of decarbonisation measures including insulation, heating upgrades, and energy performance improvements.

  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification.

  • First Aid at Work.

  • Asbestos Awareness (desirable).

  • Retrofit knowledge or accreditation (e.g., PAS 2035 familiarity) highly advantageous.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (mileage paid).
