Position description / Job description

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support to students with autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.
  • Supporting students with classroom routines, behaviour management, and personal care when necessary.
  • Using tailored communication to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Developing positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.
  • Promoting positive social interactions and supporting students' emotional well-being.
  • Assisting the class teacher in the delivery of the curriculum.
  • Preparing and setting up learning resources.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress.

Expectations / Requirements

We're looking for you, if:

  • You have experience supporting children with SEN in school, residential, or care settings.
  • You possess a calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • You demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • You hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or are willing to obtain one).
  • You have the legal right to work in the UK and are willing to work long term full-time.
  • Ideally, you are available for 5 days a week (Monday - Friday).
  • Relevant experience and qualifications are preferred but not essential.
