Summary

Junior Project Engineer

Bradford, £30-35k

Excellent opportunity to join a well-established business managing engineering projects from order, through manufacturing, delivery and installation.

Working on multiple interesting projects Responsibilities include planning, interpreting drawings, quality assurance, scheduling, and cost control.

The role of Project Engineer will include:

  • Assist with the planning and execution of projects and monitor from start to finish
  • Manage project scope, quality, compliance and ensure they meet specification
  • Working with sales to fully understand and communicate project scope discussing any changes and adding cost where necessary
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and provide regular updates and status
  • them in the field
  • Ensure project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues monitoring budget, schedule, plans and performance
  • Work with production, quality and installation teams and support on projects
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure all drawings are correct, bills of materials are accurate,
  • Procedure and ensure parts are delivered on time and the project is installed and commissioned on time to required standard
  • Assist the team in running an efficient project, manufacturing and site that complies to regulatory requirements

The Person:

  • Hold an Engineering related degree
  • Previous background in managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent time management, communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD
  • Confident knowledge across mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Any experience of water, pumping or processing equipment would be of great interest
  • Ideally experience of NEC 3 contracts
