This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. As a result, a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-E’s integrated teams.We are looking to recruit for the role of Mechanical Developer Engineer. Pay, Benefits & CultureThe salary range associated with this role is between £50,000 - £55,000, depending on experience. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. What You’ll Be DoingThe IMS Support team provide engineering tools support for 1D, 2D, and 3D design activities. These activities are essential to the work carried out by EDF EPR Engineering for the Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C nuclear power projects in the United Kingdom.You’ll serve as the main point of contact within EPR-E for engineering development needs. Working closely with engineering teams to understand their functional requirements and translate them into technically sound, company-approved solutions. You will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, developing tools through agile iterations, and ensuring their ongoing maintenance and support. Who You AreYou’ll hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. With strong experience in tool development is essential, along with a strong command of technical English to effectively communicate within a multinational engineering environment.Have an understanding of IT technologies, including Windows operating systems, networking, and general systems architecture. Proficiency in coding languages such as PowerShell and Python is required. Familiarity with CAD software is considered an advantage, though not mandatory.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing multiple interfaces across teams and departments.
