Summary

Job Summary:

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our catering and hospitality team on a bank basis. This role supports the smooth running of internal and external events, as well as day-to-day operations in our café. You’ll play a key part in creating a welcoming environment, ensuring spaces are well-prepared, and delivering excellent customer service.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of rooms for meetings, conferences, and events (e.g. arranging furniture, AV equipment, refreshments)
• Provide front-of-house support during events, including greeting guests and serving food and drinks
• Support café operations as needed, including food preparation, serving, clearing tables, and maintaining cleanliness
• Ensure all hospitality areas are clean, safe, and well-presented at all times
• Follow health and safety, food hygiene, and infection control procedures
• Respond to customer queries and requests in a friendly and professional manner
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth service delivery
• Flexibly adapt to changing priorities and last-minute requests
Requirements:
• Genuine interest in customer service excellence.
• Desire to learn in a catering and hospitality environment.

NOTE: THIS IS A BANK ROLE, MEANING HOURS ARE OFFERED ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS. FLEXIBILITY IS KEY AND SHIFTS MAY INCLUDE EARLY MORNINGS, EVENING AND WEEKENDS DEPENDING ON EVENT SCHEDULES AND CAFÉ NEEDS.
