Summary
We are seeking a caring, patient and committed SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment and work closely with a pupil who requires additional support. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as SEN 121 Teaching Assistant:
Provide 1:1 support to a child with Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning and achieve their potential.
Assist with both academic and social development in and out of the classroom.
Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the individual needs of the pupil.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and external professionals to implement tailored support plans.
Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
Ideal SEN 121 Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children with SEN, ideally on a 1:1 basis.
Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
Patience, empathy and a flexible approach as a SEN 121 Teaching Assistant.
Good communication skills to work effectively with teachers, parents and professionals.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
