An Outstanding secondary school in Coventry is offering an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2025.

This full-time, term-time only role is perfect for graduates seeking hands-on school experience before progressing into teacher training or a career within educational support. As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting students both academically and pastorally, while working closely with expert teachers and support staff.

Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Key Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small group support for students with a range of learning needs
• Assist teachers in adapting lesson content and resources to suit individual learners
• Support targeted academic interventions across core and wider curriculum subjects
• Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to an inclusive, supportive classroom culture
• Track pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and SEN staff
• Work directly with students with SEND or additional learning requirements

Graduate Learning Support Assistant - Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a motivated, empathetic graduate with a genuine passion for supporting young people:

• Minimum 2:1 degree in any subject (particularly English, Psychology, Science, Maths, or Humanities)
• Strong academic record and excellent communication skills
• Genuine interest in education, child development, and pupil wellbeing
• Prior experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, youth work) – desirable
• Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced school environment
• Ambition to pursue teaching, SEND support, or further study in education/psychology
