Summary
o Record financial transactions including income, expenses, and payments.
o Update and maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries.
o Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accurate financial reporting.
o Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to match the books with statements.
o Manage accounts payable by processing invoices and ensuring timely payments.
o Track accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices.
o Prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
o Handle pension contributions and other deductions.
o Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
o Provide regular updates on the company’s financial health to stakeholders.
o Ensure proper categorization of expenses to facilitate tax preparation.
o Collaborate with tax accountants for timely filing of returns.
o Assist in budget creation and monitor actual performance against projections.
o Provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization.
o Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) to manage financial records.
o Stay updated on new features and tools to enhance efficiency.
