Summary

• Conduct regular worship for the church members.

• Providing religious education for children and adults by preaching or teaching.

• Leading at marriages, christening, funerals and other special services.

• Offering pastoral care, counselling and welfare support to members of the church.

• Planting and establishing new parishes and nourishing the new churches to maturity including supervision.

• Evangelism, preaching of gospel of Jesus Christ and winning souls for Christ;

• Assisting with organizing water baptism and spiritual nurturing of new converts.

• Be available to help in the successful completion of defined ministries and ongoing ministry concerns.

• Acting as a Liaison person for RCCG Jubilee Christian Centre – Support with banking, promoting their activities in the church calendar and community.

• Administer the running of professional connect groups in the Church.

• The applicant must be able to lead a team of volunteers.

• Interpret doctrine, articles of faith of our religion/organisation.

• Instruct people who seek conversion to Christianity.

• Provide spiritual and moral guidance and assistance to adults.

• Co-ordinate programs in promotion of Christian way of life; encourage adults to learn biblical principles of Christianity.

• Home visitations.

• To work collaboratively with all internal teams, departments, donors and external agencies.

• Any other job as directed by the Lead Pastor as well as board of Jubilee Christian Centre Trustees.

• The applicant will be responsible for locking and unlocking the Church premises.

• Minimum qualification – Bachelor’s degree.

• Applicant must be a member of the RCCG and conversant with its code of conduct.

• Complex use of Microsoft Office package including Excel.

• Strong level of numeracy and analytical thinking required, in order to use initiative to support ministry team and manage relationships as required.

• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar systems, as this role will require use of a bespoke software system.

• Comfortable completing some basic administrative tasks such as scheduling, taking minutes etc.

• The applicant must understand the principle of confidentiality.

• The applicant must be capable of working independently and as part of a team to achieve results.

• It is an occupational requirement that the post-holder is a practising Christian whose lifestyle is in keeping with RCCG Fundamental beliefs and who has the confidence of his/her church fellowship.

• Eligibility to work in the UK preferred.
