About the Employer

I am both the employer and carer who is seeking 2 PA's to provide 2-1 care for my daughter. She has a diagnosis of severe learning disabilities and behavioural issues which require s 2-1 support when out and about in the community. My daughter is extremely vulnerable and requires close supervision at all times. She demonstrates unwanted behaviours when upset and can lash out at those around her or members of the public if she becomes distressed, upset or wanting her own way and being told no. She prefers the company of adults as children of her own age can trigger her frustration. She is generally very active and enjoys most activities associated to her age. She enjoys arts and crafts, painting, trampoline parks, going to the beach and play parks. She does like to be occupied and active so particularly enjoys being outdoors. She has no danger awareness and is unable to identify risks to herself or others, she would benefit from the PA's encouraging and prompting her life skills and independence where possible. The PA support can be delivered during the week after school or weekends. Holiday times are more flexible. sessions will be arranged week by week between the employer and PA's. The PA support will encourage her to socialise and limit her isolation, this will also allow me a break from my caring role.
