Summary
A Vacancy at Northumbria Healthcare - NHFM (Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management).
An Opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Building Craftsperson (Painter) to work at Wansbeck General Hospital and Community Hospitals(Alnwick, Berwick, Blyth and Rothbury). The successful candidate will work alongside the current team of to maintain the hospital site and outlying Buildings. The post is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday and will also take part in the Emergency Maintenance assistant on call rota.

The successful post holder will be involved in the day to day operations and maintenance of all building fabric within the Trust and non-Trust properties, including some installation work. They will be required to participate in the Estates on-call rota and undertake essential out of hours on-call duties, as directed.
The successful applicant will already have significant experience in Building Services , be versatile, able to handle conflicting priorities and have the ability to work under pressure. They will be computer literate, have good knowledge and ability, with good verbal and written communication skills. They will also possess good interpersonal skills, allowing them to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel, within and beyond the organisation.

• To provide a skilled Painting provision for the Estates Department to all client departments and Business Units.
• Ability to organise and prioritise own workload, where required, and work unsupervised.
• Must demonstrate total commitment, versatility and flexibility whilst undertaking all tasks and delegated work as instructed by Estates Officers & Supervisors.
• To carry out planned and unplanned maintenance duties on Trust and NHFM premises as directed by the operations and project officers, supervisor and chargehand.
• To maintain properly and effectively, to a high standard, all building structures, fabric and finishes and internal/external furnishings within Trust and NHFM properties and associated buildings, as directed.
• To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers other (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
