Summary
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture that supports the Charity’s purpose of Making Life Better and i-care values to increase morale, productivity and performance.
2. Manage and schedule the routine maintenance for the facility through the approved contractors and wider High Life Highland team.
3. Oversee planned and unplanned maintenance in a safe and compliant manner whilst causing minimum disturbance and downtime to the business.
4. Responsible for all aspects of the management and smooth running of the Cleaning and Caretaking team and adhering to all relevant legislation.
5. Manage and report on departmental facility budgets.
6. Ensure adequate cover for the department, at all times so that the experience can open as planned to the standard required, complying with relevant legislation and policy.
7. Ensure all contractors and staff working within Inverness Castle Experience comply with internal processes and procedures as well as relevant Health and Safety legislation in place at that time.
8. Be responsible for all Health & Safety matters, in relation to maintenance across the facility, reporting directly to the Head of Inverness Castle Experience on any shortfall.
9. Devise and manage a call out system that covers emergency maintenance 7 days per week, ensuring we prioritise our customers at all times.
10. Assist with & lead on small works projects at Inverness Castle Experience.
11. Ensure that adequate spares are held on site and to ensure that stock is appropriate and monitored in line with HLH requirements.
12. Support the Inverness Castle Experience team in maintaining the content across the visitor experience or for specific events, reporting any faults or damage.
13. Pursue continuous professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Inverness Castle Experience.
14. Lead on the Charity’s environmental agenda, carbon reduction initiatives and assist with energy reduction planning for The Inverness Castle Experience.
