Summary

The Planning Enforcement Team are looking to recruit a Planning Enforcement Officer who will be based at the Guildhall. As a Planning Enforcement Officer you will assist senior colleagues in the investigation of possible breaches of Planning Control and to collate evidence to support Enforcement Action and subsequent legal proceedings as necessary under the City Councils’ Enforcement Policy.
You will also deal with your own caseload of less complex cases providing a quality service to the general public, business, developers and Members of the Council within the statutory framework of the Town and Country Planning Acts and related legislation.
You will be required to use your own judgement and professional knowledge to negotiate solutions and make recommendations as to whether formal enforcement action is required or not.
