Summary

Electrical Assessor

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Electrical Assessor to support the development of students pursuing careers in the electrical industry. You will assess student performance across a range of practical settings, including workshops and real-world placements. Your feedback will be accurate, constructive, and aligned with industry standards and qualification frameworks. You will work with both 16-18-year-olds and adult learners (including Higher Education students), collaborate closely with Electrical Lecturers, and report to the Lead Electrical Assessor. You will also contribute to curriculum activities, support students in securing and thriving in industry placements, and carry out associated administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing student performance in practical and workplace environments
  • Providing clear, developmental feedback to support student progression
  • Supporting students in identifying and preparing for suitable industry placements
  • Maintaining strong relationships with employers and industry partners
  • Communicating effectively with students and liaising with Lecturers and Curriculum Leaders
