Join Our IT Engineering Team at The Compleat Food Group!
We’re excited to offer an incredible opportunity for an DevOps to join our brilliant IS Team! Based in Nottingham, we are looking
for a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing,
implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure, automation pipelines, and deployment processes that support our software
development lifecycle. You’ll help drive operational excellence, system reliability, and scalability by adopting best practices in
DevOps and cloud engineering.

Working Hours:
The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm.
We also offer Hybrid working. There is also an on call working weekend Rota (1 in 4).
Your Duties Will Include:
* Design and implement highly available and scalable infrastructure
* Define, measure, and enforce service level objectives (SLOs) and agreements (SLAs)
* Proactively identify and eliminate single points of failure and performance bottlenecks
* Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
* Ensure deep observability into distributed systems to support debugging and performance analysis
* Respond to production incidents, lead incident response efforts, and perform postmortems
* Identify root causes and drive long-term fixes to eliminate recurring issues
* Improve deployment pipelines and release processes to increase frequency and reliability of production releases
* Collaborate with developers to ensure applications are built and deployed in a reliable and repeatable way
* Implement and enforce security best practices for infrastructure and application deployments
* Participate in audits, incident response drills, and security reviews
* Work cross-functionally with development, QA, and product teams
* Advocate for and help cultivate a culture of reliability, ownership, and continuous improvement
Your Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles
* Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
* SQL and programming languages (Python, Spark)
* Proficiency in containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar
* Familiarity with Git and version control practices
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Power BI
