Who we are
Movianto is a leading pharmaceutical supply chain solutions partner offering best-in-class logistics quality for the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and diagnostic industries.
Purpose of the role
As our new Strategic Business Development Manager, you'll play a crucial role in expanding our footprint through high-value new business wins across the UK.
This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who knows how to operate strategically, build lasting relationships at C-suite level, and convert complex challenges into commercially sound, solutions-led partnerships.
How you'll make an impact as a Strategic Business Development Manager at Movianto:
- You'll be responsible for developing and delivering a national new business strategy focused on acquiring large, strategically aligned healthcare clients. Working closely with the Head of Sales and wider commercial teams, you'll identify and convert new opportunities across key verticals including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotech, diagnostics, and the NHS.
- Using your consultative approach, you'll engage senior stakeholders, understand their operational challenges, and craft compelling, value-led proposals that clearly demonstrate Movianto's capabilities. From initial contact to deal closure, you'll lead the entire sales cycle - ensuring all activity supports long-term growth and profitability.
- You'll manage a healthy pipeline, lead on structured tender responses, and coordinate with internal teams - from operations to finance - to ensure seamless onboarding and implementation. You'll also act as a brand ambassador at industry events, staying informed on market trends and contributing to the overall direction of our commercial strategy.
What it will take to thrive as a Strategic Business Development Manager at Movianto:
We're looking for a commercially sharp, strategically minded sales expert with significant experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport - ideally within the healthcare sector. You'll have a strong track record of securing high-value B2B contracts and influencing senior decision-makers.
You'll also bring:
- Significant client-facing experience in one or more of the logistics, transport, warehousing, or supply chain sectors, with a specific focus on healthcare
- Experience managing full-cycle sales processes, including tenders, pricing, contract negotiation and implementation support
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to operate at C-suite level
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with CRM systems (ideally Salesforce), and strong analytical skills using tools such as PowerBI
- A passion for results and a desire to contribute to a high-performance, growth-driven sales culture
