The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant:

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with students aged 11–16 who have a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, and moderate learning difficulties. You'll provide tailored academic and emotional support in both 1:1 and small group settings, helping pupils access the curriculum and build confidence in their abilities.

This Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role is perfect for Psychology, Education, or related subject graduates, or those with relevant experience in youth work, mentoring, or care. Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills are essential, along with the resilience to work in a challenging yet highly rewarding environment.

Ideal Candidate – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant:

• 2:1 degree or higher (Psychology or related subjects preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Calm, adaptable, and resilient in challenging situations
• Previous experience with SEN or in youth-focused roles is desirable but not essential
• Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
