Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant | Role Overview

Full-time, long-term position starting September 2025
Monday to Friday, 32.5 hours per week, term-time only
Competitive pay: up to £540 per week
Located at a friendly and supportive primary school on the Wirral
2:1 degree or above required — all academic disciplines considered
Degrees in Education, Psychology, or core subjects especially welcomed
Support pupils through targeted 1:1 and small group intervention work
Learn from outstanding teachers and experienced senior leaders
Ideal preparation for aspiring Teachers, Educational Psychologists, SEN specialists, and more

The Role in Action
In this Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant role, you’ll be supporting pupils both academically and emotionally to help them achieve their full potential. Your work will involve assisting the class teacher with daily learning activities, leading small group interventions, and providing personalised 1:1 support to pupils who need extra guidance.

Alongside practical teaching experience, you’ll gain valuable insights into inclusive education and how schools create engaging, supportive environments for every learner.
