Summary

As a Cyber Security specialist, you will have the opportunity to work independently and with a cooperative team on you will be responsible for implementing security measures, monitoring network activity, analsing threats, and responding to incidents to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems. You will use your professional network and leadership skills, assisting in the creation and support of IT Solutions. Further, you will contribute real value by developing, integrating, and/or supporting in-house and purchased applications or infrastructure solutions to solve business problems.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor and analyse security alerts from SIEM tools and respond to potential threats or incidents.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify and mitigate risks.
• Implement and maintain firewalls, endpoint protection, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security tools.
• Investigate and respond to security breaches, providing incident reports and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system and application configurations.
• Create and update security policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Stay up to date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
• Conduct user awareness training on cybersecurity best practices.
• Participate in compliance efforts (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA) where applicable.
• Proactive Vulnerability Management: Regular scanning, assessment, and remediation of vulnerabilities across Glovia systems and interfaces.
• Security Patch Coordination: Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure timely deployment of security patches.
• Threat Monitoring & Reporting: Identify and escalate potential threats using internal tools and threat intelligence feeds.
• Secure Development Practices: Work with the IT controls analyst and wider team to apply secure coding standards and conduct code reviews for Glovia-related development.
• Compliance Support: Assist in audits and ensure adherence to internal security policies and external regulatory requirements.


Other Responsibilities
• Working directly supporting Glovia application, interfaces, scheduled Automation / batch runs
• Working on customer incidents, monitoring systems and provision of proactive support measures as needed to re-establish services following any incident or outage
• Working directly on business projects, application / technical problem identification and resolution
• Designing and implementing processes, or process improvements, to aid in development and support
• Participating in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components
• Perform custom application design and development assignments without close supervision
• Assists customers with training and usability efforts
• Maintain close liaison with customers to ensure business needs are met

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT related field and a minimum of 6-month experience (recent college graduates are encouraged to apply) OR
• In lieu of a degree, must have a minimum of 3 years progressively responsible IT job-related experience
• Knowledge and experience in SSIS, SQL, computing hardware & software and current development processes and tools
• Experience should include working in a team environment completing programming tasks
• Excellent analytical and communication skills

Top candidates may also have:
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar, LogRhythm)
• Familiarity with EDR/XDR platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender)
• Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) security configurations.
• Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following business processes -
Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Product Introduction and/or Product Support
• IT experience related to programming, integration or infrastructure
• Experience with Superlayer, ProIV and Glovia
• Experience using Visual Studio and other development environments
• Experience with ETL processes
• Knowledge / experience of Business Intelligence reporting
