Summary

About the Job

Interview Date: 24 September 2025

Join a charismatic and dedicated team at the heart of student success! As a key member of the Assessment, Ceremonies & Exams (ACE) team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of data across all ACE systems, supporting the seamless delivery of operations, documentation, and reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the student journey. You’ll provide expert advice and guidance on ceremonies, certification, and the verification of university awards, as well as supporting university examinations and the management of assessment outcomes.

Your work will directly contribute to an outstanding student experience, ensuring that every process we deliver is efficient, accurate, and student-focused. If you're passionate about precision, service excellence, and being part of a collaborative team, we’d love to hear from you!

We want you to be able to carry out your work in a way that best supports UON and our students, but also you as an individual. We understand this may vary between different areas of the university as well as from one person to another. With Smarter Working you can work with increased flexibility, if you would like to, which can facilitate greater freedom and autonomy.

We are an accredited Living Wage Foundation Employer and pay the real living wage, which is currently £24,309 per annum. In recognition of this, the starting salary for this post has been increased to pay this higher amount which presently supersedes the actual first spinal point of Grade 4 salary before living wage.

About You

You are someone who brings enthusiasm, curiosity, and a sense of responsibility to your work. You may be at the beginning of your career or looking to take the next step, but what sets you apart is your ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset.

You are confident working with data spotting inconsistencies and thinking logically about how to resolve them. You’re comfortable using digital systems and are eager to develop your skills further, especially in working with student records or similar platforms.

You understand the importance of accuracy, procedures, and tracking progress, and you take pride in producing high-quality work. You communicate clearly and professionally, and you’re committed to delivering excellent service to colleagues, students, and external partners alike.

Above all, you’re someone who values integrity, inclusivity, and continuous improvement. And you are ready to grow in a post where those values matter.
