Summary

UWE Bristol Social Media Team, based within the Future Students, Communications and Marketing Department, manages all the main corporate social media channels. Creating and curating high quality, strategic content to engage our key audiences – both internal and external. We support strategic campaigns using expertise to develop social media content plans that ensure message cut through. Acting as the first point of contact, we manage all incoming queries on our platforms, responding and proactively sharing key information required by our community. And we provide training, support, guidance and best practice for the many service and department level social media accounts managed around the university.

We’re looking to recruit a digital content expert to support our team in producing impactful and highly creative content to engage our key audiences.

We're looking for people with a creative mindset, with the ability to take an ‘audience-first’ approach to the development of high-quality content that cuts through. We want your ideas, but we also want someone who enjoys collaboration, and the process of working as part of a team to achieve success. We’re keen to recruit people who have enthusiasm and passion for their profession.

About you

You will have professional experience in a digital content creator role, and the ability to produce and tailor content across multiple platforms. You will have strong video production, editing, photography, and graphic production skills. The enthusiasm to contribute to creative sessions for key campaigns, as well as a willingness to produce content to a specific brief. You’ll feel comfortable working in project teams, liaising with stakeholders, and meeting strict deadlines. We expect you to thrive on the responsibility of playing a key role in developing digital content that helps the university engage its audiences and communities.

Interview dates are yet to be confirmed but we are hoping they will take place around mid-September.

This is a full time, fixed-term post covering a period of maternity leave for 12 months or the earlier return of the post holder, working 37 hours per week.

This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time

This role is campus based although you can discuss the possibility of remote working with the recruiting manager.
