We are looking for a full-time Community Advisor for Multiple Needs to join our Guidance, Advice, Information and Network (GAIN) Project based in Birmingham.

You will provide personalised support to disadvantaged vulnerable adults living in Birmingham to support the improvement of their health and wellbeing.

As a Community Advisor you will work within one of Birmingham’s 4 main quadrants delivering advice and support from accessible outreach locations.

We are looking for someone who:
Has excellent communication skills
Can complete tasks to the highest quality
Can monitor and maintain own standards ensuring work is accurate
Is experienced in working with a diverse range of people and providing a welcoming environment for clients
Is in possession of a full driving licence and use of a car, or otherwise able to fulfil the travel requirements necessary

Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate to enable them to carry out their role

Responsibilities / Key Tasks:
Interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities
Provide advice, information and guidance on a range of issues including housing, benefits, debt, employment and health services
To interpret information and present options to clients
Assist clients with other related problems where they are an integral part of their case and refer to other advisers or specialist agencies as appropriate
To maintain confidentiality, use discretion and sound judgement in undertaking all areas of responsibilities
Work as part of a wider team through a multi-agency approach, collaborating with local organisations to raise awareness of the service and strengthen the local community offering

Salary: £23,810-£24,822 depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Hybrid at outreach venues across Birmingham and maybe required to travel to CAMM offices/remote
Contract: fixed-term until 30th November 2029 (with possible extension to 30th November 2031)
