About the role:
As a Hatchery Husbandry Technician, you’ll play a key role in the daily care and management of freshwater stock across our hatchery sites. Working closely with the Hatchery Manager and Supervisor, you’ll help ensure the health, welfare and development of fish from egg to smolt stage.

What you’ll be doing:
• Feeding, grading, moving and vaccinating stock
• Monitoring fish health and removing mortalities
• Recording data and maintaining site hygiene
• Supporting welfare and environmental standards
• Following health & safety protocols
• Participating in evening duties/on call

What we’re looking for:
No aquaculture experience? No problem. Full training will be provided and you’ll be supported every step of the way.

This is a great entry route in to the aquaculture industry however experience of working within a manual role, a passion for the industry, an excellent work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.

Pay & perks:
• Starting salary / rate: £27,500 or £14.10/hour
• Generous overtime rates: x1.5 weekdays / x1.75 weekends
• Accommodation: Part-subsidised housing available

Contract options:
• Permanent for experienced candidates
• Temp to perm via agency for those new to the industry (hourly rate based on 37.5 hours/week equivalent)
