Main Duties and Responsibilities
As a Venue Supervisor, you will be responsible for the planning, organisation, and
execution of a variety of private and corporate events, with a focus on weddings and
bespoke functions. You will liaise directly with clients, manage internal and external
teams, and ensure the venue operates at the highest standards. Key duties include:
Acting as the main point of contact for clients during the planning and execution
of events, understanding their vision and ensuring all logistics are implemented
accordingly.
Supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of venue staff and third-
party vendors, including catering, décor, and audiovisual support.
Planning event schedules, allocating responsibilities, and managing timelines to
ensure smooth execution.
Overseeing venue readiness, including health and safety compliance, equipment
setup, and contingency planning.
Maintaining a high standard of guest service throughout all phases of events,
addressing client and guest queries or issues promptly and professionally.
Assisting with budgeting and cost management, contributing to revenue growth
initiatives, and supporting promotional strategies in collaboration with the
marketing team.
Ensuring the venue remains in pristine condition through regular inspections and
overseeing routine maintenance as required.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in venue or events management,
preferably in hospitality or high-end private functions.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business
Administration, Event Management or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage third-party stakeholders, and
supervise operations across multiple events concurrently.
Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with proven interpersonal
skills and client service orientation.
High competency in informatics and CRM platforms for event and client
management.
A proactive, professional, and adaptable attitude with a commitment to quality,
compliance, and guest satisfaction.
Desirable Attributes
Experience working in luxury, heritage, or multi-functional venues.
Sound knowledge of current health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and
statutory compliance relevant to event delivery.
A collaborative and enthusiastic leadership style, capable of motivating staff in
high-pressure environments.
