Working hours: 40 hours per week (on rota including some weekends)Interview Date: 5 September 2025An exciting opportunity has arisen for two dynamic and highly motivated people with a vision and passion for working with homeless people to join us in St Helens.We are looking to appoint a Support Workers to work within Salisbury House, St Helens.This is a 64 bed Lifehouse. We accommodate both males and females aged 18+.Our Support Workers are responsible for delivering a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control.The Support Worker will address clients support needs on an individual basis, enable them to make positive life choices and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles.They will also complete day to day activities including administration tasks and reception duties to support the successful operation of the Lifehouse.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: excellent customer service skillsability to prioritise their own workload via good time management IT Literacygood written and verbal communication skills knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by homeless and vulnerable clientsability to work within the Christian Ethos of The Salvation ArmyIn order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK, and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS with Barred list check of the Adult workforce.
