Crynodeb
Bassetlaw District Council is taking a pro-active approach to tackle the impact and frequency of flooding in our district and we are looking for the right person to drive forward this vital work.
This exciting position will play an integral role within the Bassetlaw Flood Partnership and the successful candidate will ensure that partnership meetings run effectively, and manage delivery of an action plan, while keeping up to date with the relevant national policy and local issues.
You will also be a key point of contact in relation to flooding; engaging regularly with elected Councillors, Council departments, businesses, stakeholders, and residents to provide updates, understand local concerns and raise awareness of positive actions that are being delivered.
If you are a self-motivated, proactive individual with good interpersonal and communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a real desire to make a difference to our communities, we would love to hear from you.
Whilst detailed knowledge of flooding is not essential, an understanding of the role of different agencies, funding programmes and incident response would be an advantage.
If you would like more information about the role, please contact Craig Taylor, Assistant Chief Executive on (01909) 533 533.
We offer a generous employee benefit package including 26-32 days holiday plus bank holidays, free healthcare cash plan, flexitime and so much more. You can read about all our employee benefits here.
We value the diversity of our people and actively encourage applications from all sections of the community. We maintain fair and well thought out recruitment processes at every stage to make sure that everyone is treated equally.
To apply please visit Jobs and careers | Bassetlaw District Council to upload your CV and covering letter, highlighting your relevant experience, qualifications, skills and achievements.
Please note that the application process will require you to upload your CV. If you don't have one to upload, you can download a CV template we've created to help you get started.
