Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Creative Writing in the English Department, to start September 2025.

Creative writing is expanding at RHUL. Joining the CW team at an exciting phase of ongoing development, this key appointment will teach both MA and UG level students. The primary focus of the job is poetry. Experience in other forms of creative writing and the ability to teach them, though not a requirement, may be an advantage.

Applicants should have a proven record of high-quality publication and teaching. The successful candidate may be required to teach BA and MA courses, and to supervise BA and MA final projects. The appointee will be expected to participate fully in delivering the Department’s objectives, undertaking writing, teaching, and public engagement. They will also participate in departmental administration as requested by the Head of Department.
