About the role
Join our team at the Work Services Unit (WSU) and play a key role in delivering efficient and effective financial and management support!
We are looking for a Finance and Trade Assistant who will proactively support the delivery of high-quality services across the WSU. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a busy, collaborative environment where your financial expertise will directly contribute to the operational success of the service.
Please note that this role is office based 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
• Update and maintain financial systems (Agresso, SharePoint, Open Revenues etc.)
• Track, analyse, and process invoices, ensuring accurate cost assignments
• Prepare and extract data for financial reports to support service management
• Perform system administration tasks including data cleansing and year-end reconciliations
• Process recharges, handle commercial waste enquiries and disputes, and liaise with suppliers
• Raise and distribute purchase and requisition orders
• Ensure high standards of confidentiality and compliance with data protection policies
About you
• Experience in finance, administration, or a related field
• Strong organisational and analytical skills
• Proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and service improvement
• Commitment to confidentiality, compliance, and high standards of service
