Summary
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ward Host to join our team.
As a Ward Host, your primary responsibility will be to serve the supper-time meal on the ward, ensuring meals are provided accurately and with attention to individual needs.
Key responsibilities include:
-Serving supper-time meals to patients in the ward
-Carrying out tea rounds for patients
-Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the ward pantry
-Preparing and organising service areas, setting up equipment as required
-Following all health and safety and food safety guidelines
-Completing end-of-shift closing checks as part of our HACCP plan
-Communicating effectively with patients, ward staff, managers, and colleagues to provide a positive dining experience
Requirements:
-Ideally, knowledge of basic food safety, hygiene, and allergens (full training will be provided)
-Good numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
-A commitment to delivering excellent patients experience
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
-Adaptability, attention to detail, and willingness to take on a variety of tasks
-Hardworking, confident, and organised, with strong time management skills
