Lead the framework, drive the change!

Join us to create Moat’s first joined-up, insight-led performance framework!

At Moat, we believe that great performance management is about more than just numbers – it’s about purpose, alignment and impact.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker and skilled collaborator to join our Governance & Compliance team as Performance Manager, turning data into meaningful action and driving a performance framework that improves lives and supports our social purpose.

What you'll be doing

This is not a role for someone who just keeps the wheels turning.

As our new Performance Manager, you’ll build from the ground up – designing and embedding a performance management framework that connects strategy, delivery and outcomes.

You’ll take an umbrella view of the organisation, coordinating our brilliant Data & BI and Insight teams to align data, narrative and assurance into one clear, consistent story.

It’s about seeing the big picture, challenging where it matters and making sure every KPI serves a purpose – especially as our priorities shift in a risk-focused environment.

You’ll be the strategic lead for performance, reporting directly to the Head of Strategy & Policy. That means influencing, collaborating; and when needed, holding senior colleagues to account.

We’ll be looking to you to create clarity, drive alignment and make performance a central part of how we lead the organisation.

What we're looking for

We need someone who:

Has proven experience building a performance management framework from scratch in a complex or regulated environment
Thrives on strategic thinking, but is just as comfortable drilling into detail where needed
Can confidently challenge – including at senior and executive level to ensure data and insight lead to meaningful action
Understand KPIs not as static measures, but as evolving tool that respond to risk and organisational priorities
Can coordinate across multiple teams to create one joined-up approach to reporting, assurance and insight
Knows how to make performance information clear, relevant and impactful at every level of the organisation.
Experience in housing is a bonus, but what matters most if your ability to connect the dots between data, insight and strategic direction – and to get others to do the same.

Why now?

Moat is evolving how we think about performance and insight. This is your chance to be at the heart of that change, shaping something new with the autonomy and influence to make it stick.
