Summary
We support the government workforce with the right skills and capability. We are working with leaders to get the right people in the right jobs, with the right skills and continuous learning to excel in their roles.
We provide leadership, and in turn, create leaders with exceptional line management capability across departments, influencing partners in the wider public sector and beyond. This involves getting our retention and reward strategy right, to nurture specific skills, and create pride and resilience in our workforce.
Our role is also to provide system leadership across central government in pulling together back office services. Collectively, we help support the Cabinet Office’s priority to drive efficiencies, and reforms that will make government work better, to ultimately provide a better service to the public.
The Prospect Engagement & Database Manager role sits within the Public Sector Leadership Development team, part of the Leadership College for Government (LCG), which itself sits within the Government Skills Unit within GPG.
In 2022, LCG was established with the vision to equip public sector leaders and managers with the skills, knowledge, and networks they need to solve today's most complex problems.
The Public Sector Leadership team designs and delivers a curriculum of events and programmes to enable senior public sector leaders across the country to connect, collaborate and share insights, and ultimately develop the skills, knowledge and networks required to address society’s most complex strategic challenges.
The Prospect Engagement & Database Manager will play a vital role in supporting the Public Sector Leadership Development team by managing a comprehensive database of organisations, leadership roles, and interactions for senior public sector leaders.
This role is designed as the team lead, with the expectation that we will be able to hire a small team to support this work in the next few months.
The postholder will be responsible for guiding and influencing the relationships with the 1200 CEOs of the public sector, maximising and managing the database, serving as the team’s expert on the system to ensure its smooth and effective operation. Additionally, the successful applicant will conduct thorough audience research and analyse sector trends to build, replenish and monitor our audience data, ensuring it remains accurate, relevant and insightful
By collaborating with all areas of the team, your efforts will directly contribute to improving our engagement strategies and fostering strong relationships across the wider public sector.
If you are passionate about data management and stakeholder engagement, and want to play a pivotal role supporting public sector leadership development then we welcome your application.
