Summary

This vacancy will be available from September, and involves serving customers on all aspects of a busy Post Office counter, so attention to detail and mathematical accuracy is required. Previous experience in Post Office or banking work is preferred, but full training will be given. (The Post Office will carry out a DBS financial and background check.) This dual role also includes being a sales assistant in the Charity Shop, serving customers in the shop, sorting and putting out donations, using the till, cashing up, key holder duties ie. opening up/locking up etc. Punctuality and reliability are essential (to ensure that the Post Office and shop are open by 9am) as well as excellent customer service skills. Working on a small team, you will be required to cover for absent staff on other days as well, when necessary. Hours to be mutually agreed, but will definitely need to include Fridays and Saturdays (possibly alternate Saturdays.) We are also looking for someone all day on Tuesdays, Monday mornings and Thursday afternoons. Full days are 9 - 5pm, half days are 9 - 1pm and 1 - 5pm. (We do not open on Sundays or Bank Holidays.)
