Summary
Hours of work: 40hrs a week – Core hours between 8.30am–5.00pm (incl some evenings & weekends)

Millwall Community Trust (MCT) is seeking a dynamic ‘can do’ committed and target driven Employability Hub Co-ordinator to lead the day-to-day operations and ongoing development of our nationally recognised 16-24 Youth Employability & IAG Hub based at the Lions Centre. This role using the power of the club badge to engage those young people for whom universal support cannot reach, will further help underpin and increase industry skills opportunity and employment via the Hubs network of employer and training partners
Working closely with MCT E&E manager this senior role will oversee and drive delivery of MCTs DWP/JCP Youth Hub partnered programme, ensuring JCP-referred 16–24-year-olds and young people from Southwark and Lewisham are engaged through the Hub and supported and mentored into training and employment via the development of distinct industry pathways with local and national employer and training providers
This role will lead the Hubs facility’s operations, manage key employer and training provider partnerships, coordinate regular high-impact job fairs and recruitment events, and recruit and supervise a team of assigned Hub staff mentors and administrators. The role will also work positively with Employability & Mentoring (E&M) Officer to ensure key Hub mentoring performance, work taster and workshop are delivered against all KPIs, and contract milestones are met and exceeded.
This role is critical to the success of MCT’s Employability Hub and the trusts wider employment programme and offers a fantastic opportunity to develop and advance within MCT and be supported and mentored by an experienced management team. The package also includes access to extensive CPD training programme to help the successful candidate grow within the trust.
This role is initially funded until March 2026 in line with our current funding cycle. Funding for year 2 of the programme will be confirmed following a review in November, and subject to that review and recommissioning we anticipate extending the post beyond March 2026.
Qualifications - Candidates should hold either a relevant Management, IAG or Mentoring Level 4 qualification OR be willing to work towards similar qualification via CPD training package where applicable
The Employability & IAG Hub Co-ordinator will be responsible for the oversight, co-ordination and successful delivery of MCT’s Employability Hub and associate programmes, and will lead and be responsible for ensuring:
Co-ordination of MCTs Employability & IAG Hub programme operations, incl staff & volunteer mentors
Embedding the Millwall Hub pathway offer within London wide employment, training & referral partners.
Continuation and expansion of Hub’s offer through re-commissioning, new partnerships & funding bids
Co-ordination and alignment of DWP’s Youth Employment Coaches (YECs) onsite partnership caseload
Ensuring recruitment, retention and employment outcomes targets are met & Hub offer promoted.
Delivery of an engaging enhanced Employability Hub that meets needs of young people and employers.
Hub administration incl young person enrolment, tracking and positive outcomes and funder reporting.
Employability Hub outcome targets are met or exceeded and Pathway opportunities aligned to need.
Embedding and ensuring Safeguarding and H&S programme compliance incl work taster experiences.
