Summary
For further information on this role, please see the attached detailed Job Description and Person Specification: To be able to explain and expand on clinical diagnosis; preparation for investigations; treatment in accordance with the treatment plan recorded in the patients records. To assess the educational and informational needs of patients and their family and provide appropriate evidence-based information for their safe management and care. To adopt a problem solving approach to symptom management to minimize adverse reactions. To administer / check intravenous antibiotics and supportive therapies, including all necessary blood products. To administer medicines as prescribed with adherence to The Code (NMC 2018) and The Royal Marsden Medicines Management Policy. To work in collaboration out of hours with the clinical site practitioner (CSP) team, Centre for Urgent Care (CUC) and liaise closely with the clinical team / on call team (medical, surgicalSpR, consultants, pharmacist or laboratory service) in order to initiate appropriate care for patients accessing the service.
