Summary
Principle duties will include: Administration of radiopharmaceuticals by oral, IV and intradermal techniques Following appropriate protocols to provide accurate and timely clinical results for patients undergoing molecular imaging procedures Quality control testing of a wide range of equipment, taking remedial action where required Contributing to patient care, including emergency action in the event of patient deterioration Communicating complicated procedures and concepts to a wide range of people, including patients or relations who may be confused or distressed Performing bone densitometry (DEXA) scans Job Purpose Provides the technical aspects of the nuclear medicine and DEXA service within County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust; based at Darlington Memorial Hospital Performs a range of specialist healthcare science activities Involvement in research and development project
