Summary


We’re looking for hard-working and dedicated individuals to join our Stewarding Team to provide a first-class service on match days and non-match day events. You will be responsible for the safety of all our visitors, employees and spectators attending the Riverside Stadium whilst, at the same time, maintaining a welcoming and friendly attitude.

SAFETY STEWARD ROLE:
•Assist in the safe operation of the Stadium before, during and after an event.
•Monitor the crowd specifically in your area but also across the Stadium for signs of overcrowding or distress.
•Assist spectators who are first time visitors to the stadium and who are in need of help.
•Ensure that all approaches, spectator routes and exits are kept clear at all times.
•Identify, respond to and investigate any incident, emergency situation or occurrence amongst spectators.
•Know the location of key strategic points (i.e. emergency phones, first aid rooms, rendezvous points) and be able to operate the fire-fighting equipment within the stadium.
•Attend pre-match/post-match briefings & safety checks as required.
•To attend and actively contribute to training and development sessions organised by, or on behalf of, Middlesbrough Football Club.

CANDIDATES SHOULD:
•Be aged 18+ and be eligible to work in the UK.
•Possess a polite, courteous and helpful manner with excellent customer service skills.
•Have the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team.
•Be organised and be able to work to time schedules & deadlines.
•Be professional, pro-active, able to use your own initiative along with having great communication skills and be smartly presented.
•Be flexible and available to work weekends, evenings and public/bank holidays.
•Ideally have experience of working to strict health and safety guidelines.
•It would be advantageous to have worked within a safety environment, previous stewarding or crowd management experience.

Please note if you are successful, you will be required to complete a Level 2 or equivalent in Spectator Safety prior to starting this role. Where possible we will arrange this training subject to each individual’s circumstances.
