Summary

Directorate: Adult Care, Housing & Public Health

Post Details: 26hr per week, 2 Permanent posts For Parkhill Lodge Learning Disability Service

Provide a wide range of activities to stimulate and motivate service users both on an individual basis and in groups, including supporting them to access community resources and adhere to agreed measures to reduce any associated risks.

Work with the team to provide sensitive care and guidance to service users in areas of personal care, daily living, health, social integration, and emotional support in line with principles of an ordinary life and in compliance with departmental policies and procedures.

Contribute towards the monitoring and assessment of service users plans, reviews and assessment of risks via their Key Worker.

Adhere to agreed individual support plans communicating any areas of concern about these plans to their Key Worker or line manage.

Assist service users to deal with behavioural difficulties and other vulnerabilities.

Assist with the administration of medicines as required.

Maintain confidential unit records and record progress in service user’s files adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
