As a Dock Operative, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping the service yard running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Job Description

Working closely with the ISS on-site team and taking direction from the Duty Manager, you’ll help ensure operations flow seamlessly while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety for our client.

This is a varied and active role, working five days a week on a shift pattern that includes every third weekend.

When weekend shifts fall, you’ll still enjoy two consecutive days off during the week, giving you a great balance between work and life.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately record and manage vehicle movements and dwell times.
Support back-of-house operations, including goods delivery, receipt, storage, and final mile deliveries.
Operate IT systems, process paperwork, and use mechanical handling equipment where trained.
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment in line with Health & Safety policies.
Work collaboratively within a team to meet SLA targets and operational needs.
Communicate effectively and provide accurate information to supervisors as required.
Follow company policies, values, and complete any required training.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
Able to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
