Summary

An opportunity has arisen within Sunderland City Council for the role of Maintenance Operative (Multi Skill).



The role will involve working in domestic and commercial buildings carrying out a range of technical and non-technical trade activities to deliver capital works and disabled adaptations to domestic properties.



Working alongside colleagues within the Repairs and Maintenance Team you will ensure that work is delivered to a high standard and meet our quality and performance expectations.



The post holder will be carrying out a variety of tasks undertaking joinery, basic plumbing, ceramic tiling, plastering and decoration as part of a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring all work is delivered to a high standard, providing an excellent customer service and ensuring all work is delivered on time and within budget.



Moving forward our focus is on improving, developing and growing the service to ensure we are providing a sustainable service to all customers.andnbsp; This role plays a key part in driving this ambition forward.



To succeed in this role applicants must have a relevant trade qualification and experience in multi skilled activities with experience of working within a busy operational repairs and maintenance department an advantage.



A full driving license will be required to carry out this role and a works vehicle will be allocated to all successful candidates upon appointment.
