Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your passion for literature and language while making a positive difference to students' academic and personal growth.

You will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages, tailoring your teaching to meet the needs of all learners. Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages


Differentiate teaching to support a range of abilities and learning styles


Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with school policies


Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment


Contribute to the development and review of English curriculum plans


Participate in extracurricular activities, clubs, and events to promote English


Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement


Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practice


Qualifications and Experience

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related subject


Experience teaching English at secondary school level


Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum requirements


Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills


Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people


Passion for inspiring students and raising achievement
